Job Description

Position: Metal Fabrication Leader

Salary: $33k-$41k

Hours:1st Shift

Our client designs and builds close tolerance progressive dies and manufactures high-quality metal fabrications, stampings and assemblies.  They are seeking a Metal Fabrication Leader to add to their team.

Requirements and Duties

  • Program, set-up and operate a variety of machines including an Amada Turret, Amada Press Brake, Spot Welder and Pem Insertion Machine
  • Ability to set-up and run complex and high tolerance parts for both prototype and production runs
  • Inspect and verify conformance to specifications
  • Participate in new product launches to ensure that they are completed on-time and to the quoted cost
  • Improve fabrication capabilities to increase efficiency and competitiveness
  • Strong knowledge of Amada Metal Fabrication Software (Epicore)
  • Communication with other team members, customers, and vendors must be professional, accurate and thorough


  • Solid Sheet Metal Fabrication experience and the ability to set up and run an Amada Turret Press and an Amada Press Brake
  • Able to read blueprints and bill of material
  • Must have good attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • This job requires the handling of metal stamped and fabricated parts.  Some boxes of parts will weigh in excess of 50 lbs.  You must know how to safely handle all the parts that our client produces.
  • You will be on your feet during the entire shift
  • Ability to drive a forklift is a plus

Job Requirements


•      BS/BA in Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering

•      Must have 2-3 years of experience in production environments, including strong leadership skills

•      Minimum of 2 years of experience setting up and operating a turret and press brake.  Previous Amada experience preferred

•      Strong “take charge” leadership skills, with the ability to create and drive change and effectively communicate throughout the organization

•      Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams

•      Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

•      Strong computer literacy.  Our client continuously looks for new ways to use technology in our daily activities and communication with employees

•      Creative problem-solving skills

•      Demonstrated track record of achieving positive results in a resource limited environment is preferred
